These are the people that assist us at times  who help to make us look and sound great.

                       Karin Fils-Aime

Would you love to hear a woman sing....and sing exceptionally well ?  And not only that, one that plays a mean acoustic guitar ?  Hire Hyde Park as your wedding band with the addition of our female vocalist, Karin Fils-Aime, stage name "Monday's Child." Karin is a collegiate professional, graduating from the University of Scranton
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services and a Master of Science degree in Community Counseling. She holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Community Counseling, as well.

Karin has an extensive background in music. Starting in church like many singers, she was a leader of a guitar group/singers that provided music for contemporary parish masses. Karin was a frequent volunteer at a Diocesan Retreat Center and County Prisons, bringing music to anywhere it was needed. Eventually she even brought music to National TV where she provided music often for The Daily Mass, taped at St. Ann's Monestary in Scranton, PA. When not in church, Karin had begun playing out in local clubs, either as a single, or hosting “Open Mic” nights. She was briefly in an all girl band called “Mistress” in the mid 80's and and years later '89 to '92, was lead female vocalist for New Generation Band.

Music took a back seat while Karin completed her education. But even while she was hitting the books, she had time to do vocals on a local radio spot for a tanning and nails shop. Karin sang the jingle and read the copy for the ad on “Total Exposure's” Radio spot late 1993. After completing her degrees and becoming well established in her field, Karin was drawn back to music after collaborating with Jeff Staniszewski (then of Hyde Park Band) and contributed background vocals on some of his original compositions. That collaboration led to a happy and ongoing association with Hyde Park band for clubs and wedding reception engagements. Further, Tom Borthwick of Si Studio connected Karin with other recording opportunities, one of which is the Sandone Tire commercial which is currently still on the air in Scranton/Wilke-Barre radio stations after 3+ years. Seems Sandone Tire is getting some mileage out of that one!

So now, Karin is back doing music again in her current project, “Monday's Child”.  If you haven't seen her yet, or if you haven't seen her in a while... She's back, and better than ever!

Well refined, professional and because of her natural and educated attitude, is such a pleasure to work with. Get "Monday's Child" for a wedding and go that extra mile and request " Monday's Child"  to also perform with Hyde Park.....you won't be sorry.....seriously.

"Monday's Child" will play clubs, traditional parties, house parties, churches, corporate and industrial events and just about any musical need you have.  We, Hyde Park,  recommend "Monday's Child" and know you will be quite pleased. You can reach 'Monday's Child" ( Karin Fils-Aime ) @ KAFA18427@yahoo.com.   When contacting thru this web address place the words "Mondays Child" in the subject line to alert your priority contact.  Also contact @ 570-352-2971.  Monday's Child can be found at : http://www.facebook.com/mondayschildmusic.
