Bill Vargas

Bill has been playing Bass guitar for over 40 years and has developed his professionalism as a consummate performer with visual excitement.  He plays his bass lines from influences of Victor Wooten, John Paul Jones, and Tiran Porter. Bill also sings a bulk of the lead vocals emulating the vocal sounds of Joe Cocker, James Brown, and B.B. King.

When singing background vocals he is the one you hear singing the highest harmonies, while playing his bass guitar, reminds you of the ability of Bassist Timmy Schmidt of the nationally known group The Eagles. After providing the foundation for many local groups in northeastern Pennsylvania Bill is still seeked by bands to assist them to enhance their sound and shows. Bill also uses his creative efforts to attempt garnering unique venues for the band to perform for.

Bill's on-stage movements keep you watching to see where he will be next.  Watch for Bill in Hyde Park.  He could be standing right next to you.

                     Classic   Car   Owner

And finally, Bill is also the owner of a 1973 American Motors Javelin that he takes to car shows, baby's like a child and drives thru town occasionally.  A rather unique item on the road these days, this car is scarce because of the dying interest in the AMC "pony" cars and the difficult time finding , not only the car itself to restore, but the parts for it.  Here are pictures of Bill's automotive pride and joy.  Hope ya get a kick out of 'em.  Note: Bill's car has won trophies for this immaculate representation of automotive genius of our past. A deserved feat indeed !

October 2011 the subscription only magazine called "Auto Restorer," which is headquartered in California, did a story / photo shoot on my car based on it being classified as unique and rare.  My thanks to photo /story writer Bob Tomaine of Jermyn, Pa. ( contributing writer for Auto Restorer) for liking my ride enough to do a story on it and submit it to his editor who then told him to do a full layout and story on it so it can grace the front cover of their magazine.
